In 2018 through a series of life events, Reviving Dayvid was born. This was when we realized that “people” are our passion, not just the music. The music is the conduit that connects us to the people. The main recurring theme of the Reviving Dayvid movement is “Purpose. Passion. People”.
In this life we’ve all been through something. We’ve all encountered the storms of life. Learning how to dance in the rain allows us to grow as individuals. Sure it is easy to give up, but the growth is in the journey. It is in our very human nature to consume ourselves with the finish line, but we must not forget to enjoy the journey itself.
As a singer/songwriter and founder of Reviving Dayvid, I David Ryan Wynne have learned to use what I’ve been given not just for musical purposes, but to influence the lives of others like me who have been through something. When you’re broken, your parents go through a divorce, and you go through your own divorce, you lose friends to mental illness, these life events change you. You see just how truly precious the gift of life is.
Every moment of human interaction from 5 hours at a family outing to 5 seconds on an elevator with a perfect stranger, is an opportunity to love others. Conversations don’t always have to last long. A gift such as a smile can make a permanent impression on someone having a bad day.
The band name Reviving Dayvid comes from the word REVIVE, which means to bring back to life. We have often been through something so tough that our souls, minds, and hearts need to be revived. The word DAYVID comes from my legal first name combined with the word DAY. David is a traditional spelling, but DAYVID has the word “day” in it. For some people, every day can be a struggle to find their purpose in this life. The real-life experiencess we have all been through allow us to be shaped into who we are today.
